Vibro-panning is an interactive installation, exploring active perception. It consists of acoustic feedback loops that only close when they are listened to, creating a tactile and sonic experience where one holds in her hands a part of the sound creating apparatus, and navigates through the feedback landscape. Vibro-panning invites the audience to observe a vibratory phenomenon as it undergoes changes caused by the act of observation.

A fruit bowl, and a cannon ball. As species, we consume resources. we scavenge food, we pan for gold, and we wage wars to get to those resources. with each of these actions we create feedback loops, between us and what surrounds us. Some of these feedback loops are self-sustainable while others tend to undermine the very means by which they are created.
